Silk was born Silk was born in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada. She was the daughter of Peter Silk, a professor, as well as Ilkay Silk, a prominent actress and director. She was also a playwright, educator, and director of drama in St. Thomas University. Anna recalls her mother's work as a play director and also attending rehearsals. Silk was featured in many commercials as an infant. She earned her Bachelor of Arts was awarded by St. Thomas University, 1997. Theatre St. Thomas staged at least 2 early plays: Seven Menus & The Kitchen. Silk started her career in acting when she moved to Toronto Canada at the end of November in 1999. She then moved into Los Angeles for the remainder of the decade. Seth Cooperman was her future spouse when she first met him in 2007 at an Actors' Workshop at Los Angeles. In 2009 they were married civilly in December 2009. The couple renewed their vows on April 10th of 2011 in Fredericton, after the bride converted to Judaism.
