Sharni Vison, an Australian-American actor and dancer was born on 22 July 1983, in Sydney Australia. Her first acting role occurred in 2001 when she was requested to feature in the Australian Soap show Home and Away where she had a minor role in two episodes of the series. Her performance in the limited role was so fascinating that the casting agent for the show wanted her to be cast in the principal roles in the series. She auditioned however for the role, but she wasn't chosen. In the show, she portrayed the character Cassie Turner which was the teen with a history of trouble with a foster family.
